If I were looking for a gorgeous, sweet, kinda laidback female Rottie, I would adopt this girl in a nano-second. Yeah, really! For all that Olivia has endured in her short life (it is estimated that she is between 2 and 3 years old) -- a pregnancy by an unknown wandering father; being turned out onto the streets by her family so she could be picked up by animal control as a stray; giving birth to a litter of ten puppies on a cold shelter floor; having five of her babies die before they were even three weeks old; and suffering through multiple fosters before finding a safe haven; well, this lady is a diamond in the rough awaiting a little polish (known as a loving family).
Olivia (Livvy) is attention seeking, loves petting and scratches and belly rubs, and is a shadow to her person and wants to be with you. She is a great traveler - just stretches out on the back seat and will sometimes just lay her head on the console so she can be close to you. Livvy has made friends with everyone she meets (including kids), and is well socialized with dogs of all sizes; she almost refuses to become defensive when another dog doesn't want to be friendly.
But don’t mistake this calm demeanor as boring…this gal likes to have fun, too! She likes to play with stuffed squeaky toys or tug toys, will race around the yard or play area, and is an infrequent noise maker (i.e. barker).
Livvy could easily fit into a first time Rottie owning family, or a family that is looking for a more laidback companion. All in all, Olivia is a precious jewel just waiting to be polished and loved.
