Don is very friendly, happy, energetic and very playful. He loves tug toys and will play with a jolly ball for hours. He is very affectionate and can't get enough love. This boy is not shy at all. He plays pretty rough so we do not recommend small kids. Don V gets along with any dog. He has met dogs from the size of Chihuahua to the Great Danes. He is very friendly with both male and females but does like to be dominant. He was not used to being leashed and did not have very good manners when he came into SSRR. He would jump on you and push through doors when he wanted out. Don V has come very far and doesn't jump anymore and no longer pushes through when he wants out or in. He is used to a leash now but does still pull some. Don V was surrendered to the shelter by a couple who had 12 dogs that they had previously used for breeding. He was well taken care of though. He didn’t have fleas or heartworms when he came to us. His favorite snack is carrots! He's overall super sweet and affectionate. We recommend an adult/older kids home with people who have large dog experience.

Upon approval to adopt, you will be sent SSRR Decompression and Introduction requirements that we require ALL of our adopters to follow. You will be asked to acknowledge receipt of these requirements, verify that you have read them and that you will follow them.
