Greta is a huge sweetheart and loves to be with her person or people.  She arrived at her current home as a stray and was in pretty bad shape.  They showered her with love and got her healthy again. She was spayed and given her rabies vaccine.  She was also heartworm tested. That is when the sad news that she was heartworm positive was discovered.  She has been on heartworm chewies ever since at the recommendation of the vet. The family took Greta in because they love dogs and couldn't bear to not take care of her, especially in the state she was in. She was literally living outside on garbage with no home for a long time. She was skin and bones when she showed up on their farm.

The family that took Greta in has had her since May 2023 and have gone through a lot to get her ready to be adopted.  One thing is, at this time neither of them can afford the heartworm treatment.  They have both gone through expensive divorces and times are tough enough providing for their kids.  The extra funds are just not there unfortunately.

Greta would do best with one strong owner with Rottweiler experience or with a couple with no kids and the same Rottie experience. She needs someone strong who is kind and loving but is the alpha. She is loyal as they come and is incredibly smart!  She amazes her family every day with how much she learns and has learned.  She has the potential to be an outstanding dog and she's the prettiest Rottie they’ve ever seen.
