Max is part of a bonded pair, with his sister Dusty (see profile for Dusty). They are searching for their forever home and must be adopted together.

They will NOT be adopted separately.

Although both young, Dusty and Max have grown up together and get along very well. They love to play together and find comfort in each other's company. They were surrendered together to a shelter in Chesapeake VA, by their previous owner, who said he was moving and had no space for them.

Max  is about 2 years old and weighs 100lbs. He is neutered, chipped and UTD on his shots. He has a very proud stride, a regal stance, and an endearing, curvy tail.

Max loves to play outside with his sister Dusty. He will fetch a few times and then settle in to watch Dusty run around. He loves to play "chase me and try to get my ball "!  He is content to hang outside and watch the birds and listen to the sounds of nature.

Although Max needs very slow intros to new people,  he loves people he knows and trusts. He loves going belly up for rubs.  It's one of his favorite activities, lying with his person and getting rubs.

Both Max and Dusty are house trained & crate trained.  They love training and know several commands: sit, down,  wait, stay, come, leave it,  crate and paw.

They both love going on car rides .  They both love walking, although they are still working on leash manners, and require two walkers (one per dog) as they are strong and athletic, however very manageable on a leash and walk well.

Dusty and Max are hoping for a forever home with an experience Rrottweiler person (s) .  They are looking for a home without kids , as they need slow intros to new people .  They are hoping to be the only fur kids in their new place , UNLESS  local to the Hampton Roads , VA area and meet and greets with potential fur siblings can be arrange . No cats .  They will need an adopter who will get them continued training to build on their amazing progress .

Dusty and Max have their own Facebook page filled with great pictures and tons of videos!!  Please visit and like their page https://www.facebook.com/theterrifictwo
