Benny is a 3-year-old, 78 pound Rottweiler who was rescued from the St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services in LaCombe, LA, where he ended up as a stray. Benny is a very sweet loving boy who seems to crave attention and praise.  He is learning house manners with his foster mom; this big boy appears to have been neglected before coming to into SSRR. Benny has just completed heartworm treatment and has resumed his energetic, young rottie activities – playing with toys, going for walks and practicing getting praise for good behaviors.

Benny is a little insecure and loves being with his foster mom, rarely letting her out of sight. He will do great in Rottweiler-experienced home and as part of a loving family. He is house and crate trained, but does love to chew anything new to him, so providing him with proper chewing toys and bones is essential. This handsome boy is ready for his forever place to call home with  the person who will patiently guide his behaviors so he continues to blossom into his new, confident life. If this sounds like you, fill out the online application and we will contact you to answer any questions about Benny.
